Whether you’re just keeping track of ideas or putting together fully fledged projects, there’s no better way to create music on the go than with Garageband for iOS.
If like me you’ve all but exhausted the existing loops that come pre packaged with Garageband through hours of experimentation and recording, adding new sounds is definitely something you’ll want to do.

When you first open GarageBand you'll be asked to select the kind of instrument you want to use. At the top of the screen you'll see two options: Live Loops and Tracks. Live Loops is a relatively new addition to GarageBand, which allows you to sequence existing recordings in real time. RECORDING A SONG IN GARAGEBAND FOR IPAD STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL. To record a song and then add other parameters to your song follow instructions listed below: Step 1. Open the GarageBand from your iPad and then navigate to and tap on + sign located near the top left corner of the screen. From the menu that now pops up, Tap on ‘New Song’. The region was made from a software instrument. I click on file, then “Add Region to Loop Library”. The region shows up as a loop in the Loops Browser for that project (it has a green icon in front of it, which is different from the blue icon in front of the other loops). However, if I open up another project, that loop does not show up. Jul 31, 2017 To open the Loop Browser, click in the upper-right corner of the GarageBand window. Drummer Loops appear in the Loop Browser with a yellow icon. To show only Drummer Loops in the Loops Browser, select Drummer from the Loop Packs pop-up menu at the top of the Loops Browser.
Trouble is, Apple haven’t exactly made it obvious HOW to add new loops to your mobile library…
